Life can be difficult at times and it’s hard to see a way through.  I can assist you by providing a comfortable and safe environment to talk about your troubles.

 

My name is Angela McCafferty.  I am qualified mental health professional based in Paisley, Renfrewshire.  I provide online and face-to-face Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy services to individuals.

 

Cognitive Behavioural and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are the approaches generally used whilst always keeping you, the client, the main focus of our work together.  We will use various tools and techniques to support you moving forward.  Everything I do, will be with you.

 

The focus is on your individual needs to get the best out of our sessions together.  I lead with empathy and compassion and the skillsets of CBT and ACT.  I aim to build a positive and trusting relationship with my clients and offer a relaxed, safe and confidential space to talk through your problems. Using a collaborative non-judgmental approach, I can assist you in learning new ways of coping, decision making and problem-solving techniques.

 

Whether you are looking for psychotherapy or support generally, I understand that every client is unique, with differing needs and the goal is personal.  Please contact me for a chat or to arrange an initial meeting to discuss what is best for you and answer any queries you may have.

Clients are predominantly seen at my comfortable therapy room in Paisley however, associates are available who can also take appointments in the Paisley area, North Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and some areas in Edinburgh.   Online sessions are available with all of us, with face to face returning at different dates for each therapist.

 

The aim is to find you the perfect fit when it comes to developing a therapeutic relationship. It is important you feel safe to explore your requirements honestly.  I work closely with some of my associates so that in the event that a conflict of interest occurs, or you would rather work with a different Therapist, I will happily signpost you onward to best suit your needs.

 

Each of us is qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and have experience providing support for a range of mental health issues.  These include Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Phobia, Low Self Esteem, OCD and Perfectionism.  Some are qualified in Play Therapy and therefore able to support children and young people too.

 

All  therapists are qualified, insured, registered members of professional bodies, and attend regular supervision and CPD events (Continuing Professional Development).
